  • Upon arrival, meet your friendly tour manager and transfer to the Aspect Hotel Park West.

Relax, unwind and spend the rest of the day at leisure, no doubt looking forward to a wonderful break spent exploring the ‘Fair City’ of Dublin and its surrounds, and of course, seeing the maestro, André Rieu, perform.

  • Join your tour manager for a guided introduction to Dublin, which includes historic Trinity College, Dublin Castle and famous Ha'penny Bridge. Wander Grafton and O’Connell streets, perhaps drop in for a coffee in Bewley’s –  a Dublin institution – or visit the Guinness Storehouse, to learn about the ‘black stuff’ and to enjoy a pint or two. Don’t miss the much-modernised Temple Bar area, the height of Dublin fashion.

The afternoon is free to spend at your leisure, perhaps enjoying a bite to eat at a pub before heading by coach to the 3Arena for tonight’s concert, the undoubted highlight of the trip.

Acknowledged as one of the world’s greatest living musical legends, André Rieu was classically trained and is now an accomplished violinist, an excellent conductor and a truly great showman. Rapt audiences sway with his delightful music, hum along and even dance in the aisles, so prepare yourself for a truly unforgettable evening.

  • Today you will enjoy a full-day excursion to the nearby Powerscourt Estate (entrance included) and the Wicklow Mountains.

The Powerscourt Estate is a large, country estate close to Dubin that is noted for its house and 19 acres of pristine, landscaped gardens. Powerscourt Waterfall – the highest in Ireland – can be seen from the grounds, which also include a golf course. The house dates back to the 13th century but was extensively refitted in the 18th century. Enjoy a gentle stroll around the grounds, perhaps pausing for some light refreshment (payable locally).

On the drive back to Dublin, you’ll enjoy a scenic tour of the picturesque Wicklow Mountains, Ireland’s largest continuous uplands area. Sit back, relax and enjoy as you pass some spectacular scenery, before enjoying your final evening in Dublin at leisure.

  • Continue your exploration of Dublin under your own steam today, before transferring to the airport for your return flight at the end of a marvellous break.

Further Information

  • Please note you will be asked to supply passport details for each passenger at the time of booking or as soon thereafter.

  • Please note that this is an indoor concert, which will start at approximately 8pm and finish at about 10.45pm. Afterwards our coach will return you to the hotel, arriving at around midnight. It will be necessary to walk between the coach drop-off/pick-up points and the concert venue.

Your show/event ticket(s) will be given to you by your Newmarket tour manager on the day.

  • At this time, exact outbound and inbound departure times have not been confirmed. Times shown are our best estimate based on current information. Final timings will be confirmed to you in your Final Travel Documents, approximately 10 days prior to departure, though we will make every effort to secure timings close to those indicated when you book.

  • An Airport Development Fee has been introduced at a few UK Airports. You will be required to pay this charge at the following airports prior to checking in for your flight: Durham Tees Valley & Norwich. The amount varies from airport to airport, but it is generally between £5 and £10 per person (not included in the price of your holiday). Please visit the airport's website for further information.

  • We sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your hotel. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your hotel. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.

  • If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

  • The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

  • From 1 January 2021, new rules apply on travel within Europe.

Note that these new rules do NOT apply when travelling within the United Kingdom or to the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or the Republic of Ireland. You do require government issued ID when travelling by air.

New rules apply when travelling to European Union countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. The following are useful guidelines which will help you prepare for your next adventure:

    Passport
British passport holders need to have at least six months left on their passport and it needs to be less than ten years old.
These rules do not apply to travel to Ireland where you can continue to use your passport as long as it’s valid for the length of your stay.
    Visa
If you’re a tourist, you do not need a visa for short trips to most EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. You’ll be able to stay for up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period. Different rules will apply to Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus and Romania; if you visit these countries, visits to other EU countries will not count towards the 90-day total. Travel to Ireland will not change and stays there will not count towards the 90-day total.
    Border Control
At border control, you may need to show proof of your return journey - your travel documentation issued by us will be sufficient for this. You may also need to use separate lanes from EU, EEA and Swiss citizens when queueing.
    Healthcare Cover
You should always get appropriate travel insurance with healthcare cover before you go abroad. Your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) will no longer be valid. It’s particularly important you have travel insurance with the right cover if you have a pre-existing medical condition. This is because the EHIC scheme covers pre-existing conditions, while many travel insurance policies do not. You should understand the terms and conditions of your travel insurance and be happy with its cover for healthcare and travel disruption. Newmarket sell a comprehensive travel insurance policy. Ask our travel consultants for more information.
    Mobile Roaming
From 1 January 2021, the guarantee of free mobile phone roaming throughout the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway will end.
Check with your phone operator to find out about any roaming charges you might get from 1 January 2021.
