Autumn Fjordland Cruise

• Day One – Depart from Hull

  Depart: 2130hrs

  Board Astoria in Hull, today, settle in to your cabin and relax as your cruise begins.

• Day Two – At sea

  Spend today relaxing on board.

• Day Three – Stavanger, Norway

  Arrive: 0830hrs

  Depart: 1400hrs

  Astoria's first port is the prosperous former Norwegian fishing capital, Stavanger. Here, sleek ultramodern buildings like the Stavanger Concert Hall and the Norwegian Petroleum Museum contrast sharply with the pretty white-painted, clapboard houses and cobbles of Stavanger old town. Step ashore to wander through harbour-side Torget before we enjoy a breathtaking passage though Lysefjord, where the towering Preikestolen rock formation soars above the waters.

  Visit to the Iron Age Farm at Ullanhaug

• Day Four – Flam, Norway

  Arrive: 0900hrs

  Depart: 1700hrs

  The remote village of Flam is set in one of Sognefjord’s most remote corners. From here, there's the chance to enjoy a truly unforgettable shore excursion, boarding the world-famous Flamsbana Mountain Railway for the journey, through the region's breathtaking scenery, to Myrdal.

• Day Five – Geiranger, Norway

  Arrive: 1300hrs

  Depart: 1800hrs

  Geirangerfjord is one of the smallest but most beautiful fjords, its twists and turns marked by crashing waterfalls and ancient and beguiling villages. Disembark at Geiranger to enjoy an unforgettable overland excursion through the glorious scenery of the fjord and its surroundings.

• Day Six – Olden, Norway

  Arrive: 0900hrs

  Depart: 1800hrs

  Today you’ll call at Olden on Nordfjord. This pretty waterside town is the starting point for an excursion, through scenic countryside, to the famous Briksdal Glacier. Huge though it is, Briksdal's immense cliff of ice is actually just one of the 50 arms of the Jostedalsbreen Glacier, which broods over the entire eastern reach of Nordfjord.

• Day Seven – Andalsnes, Norway

  Arrive: 0800hrs

  Depart: 1600hrs

  Astoria cruises into beautiful Romsdalsfjord and up to Andalsnes, today. From here, there’s the opportunity to enjoy an excursion through some of Norway’s most spectacular mountain scenery, and perhaps a chance to visit the famous wooden Rodven stave church in its dreamy setting beside the fjord.

• Day Eight – Bergen, Norway

  Arrive: 1000hrs

  Depart: 1700hrs

  Your final call is in Bergen. This ancient Hanseatic city of cobbled streets and medieval houses was the birthplace of composer Edvard Grieg. Visit the vibrant harbour and fish market, stroll past the wooden warehouses of Bryggen and take the Floibanen funicular to the summit of Mount Floyen.

• Day Nine – At sea

  Spend today relaxing on board.

• Day 10 – Arrive back at Hull

  Arrive: 0730hrs

  Say goodbye to Astoria, her crew and your fellow passengers as she arrives in Hull, today, and you disembark at the end of a wonderful cruise.

Days marked above with an anchor include ports where you will be transferred to shore by landing boat. These ports may be inaccessible for customers with mobility difficulties as a result. Any days not listed will be spent at sea.

  British Citizens will need a full, 10-year passport to travel on this cruise.
