A chance to fully appreciate the beauty and diversity of Scandinavia, this cruise takes you to captivating capitals and some of the region’s most scenic places. In Sweden, experience daytime scenic cruising between the craggy islands and islets of the sprawling Stockholm Archipelago, and discover the sights of Stockholm. See the Swedish capital’s architectural highlights, such as the Royal Palace; visit the many museums; and perhaps take a boat trip on the picturesque canals. There’s also a visit to the beautiful island of Gotland for a glimpse into Sweden’s Hanseatic heritage in historic Visby.
Many delights also await in Denmark. In Copenhagen, you can experience another romantic boat ride along scenic city canals, though you may opt to explore on foot to see the Danish capital’s famous sights, from the famous Little Mermaid and Nyhavn waterfront district to the Royal palaces. Explore Skagen, a town boasting beautiful scenery, typically Danish charm and sweeping white sands that have inspired many artists – including Danish painter, Krøyer – too. Sailing past the Olsen family home on the Oslofjord en route to Oslo will ensure a memorable start to your time in Norway, before you’ve time to explore a capital city renowned for its aesthetic delights; Vigeland Sculpture Park, the National Gallery, home of Edvard Munch’s The Scream, and the Opera House are high on the city’s must-see list. The Akershus Fortress is also well worth a visit, for an insight into Oslo’s medieval heritage.

Picturesque Skagen, Denmark’s most northerly town, makes for a fascinating visit today. Step ashore and wander along the town’s quiet streets and charming marina, perhaps calling at the local museum, which exhibits work by the famous Skagen Painters who were inspired by the unique landscape and light of the area. Alternatively, you might head to the local history archive, housed in a former courthouse, which documents the town’s maritime heritage or take a stroll to Grenen Beach, on the convergence between the Skagerrak and Kattegat seas.

The island's stunning, UNESCO-listed capital, Visby, is a medieval treasure chest of wooden cottages, cobbled streets and Gothic churches, encompassed by stout defensive walls. Inhabited since prehistoric times, Gotland boasts some archaeological finds as well as the unique rauk: eroded rock formations that dot the landscape.

Amble along the harbour-side fish market, take a stroll in nearby Esplanade Park and don't miss the monumental Neoclassical buildings of Senate Square, which have played the part of Moscow in many Cold War movies.

These rules do not apply to travel to Ireland where you can continue to use your passport as long as it’s valid for the length of your stay.

You’ll be able to stay for up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period. Different rules will apply to Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus and Romania; if you visit these countries, visits to other EU countries will not count towards the 90-day total. Towards the end of 2022, it is likely that non EU citizens will be required to apply online for an authorisation to visit most European countries.
