Join us on holiday in Snowdonia

Synonymous with dramatic peaks and serene lakes, Snowdonia is one of the United Kingdom's most evocative regions.

Wild and rugged, the mountainous landscapes and rolling green fields of Snowdonia National Park draw more than 400,000 visitors every year. While the park is home to an extensive variety of walking and hiking trails, many prefer the gentler alternative of a ride aboard the historic Snowdon Mountain Railway. With forests, historic mining sites, a picturesque coastline and the largest lake in Wales all waiting to be discovered, this unspoilt corner of North Wales is a gem of a holiday destination.

The region is home to a number of small settlements, including former mining towns and remote villages, many filled with holiday cottages, hotels, caravans and lodges for visitors to choose from. Resorts such as Betws-y-Coed and Bala are among the most popular, and day trips to other Welsh destinations including Conwy and Anglesey are within easy reach. Whether you're seeking opportunities to explore unspoilt natural sights or relaxation amid spectacular scenery, our Snowdonia tours are designed to delight.

Be sure to take advantage of Snowdonia's excellent produce.

Look out for such local delicacies as Conwy mussels, Welsh black beef, Llanrwst ale and artisan cheeses like Snowdonia Green Thunder.

Treat yourself or your loved ones to sweet treats from award-winning chocolatier Cathryn Cariad. Cathryn handmakes all of the chocolates from her farm in Snowdonia, and they can be found in delis and craft shops across the region, as well as Porthmadog Produce Market.

Vegetarian visitors may be happy to know that one of Wales' most popular dishes - the Glamorgan sausage - is deceptively meat free. It is actually made from cheese, breadcrumbs and one of the country's favourite ingredients - leeks.
